We had another interesting net tonight with 5 check-ins plus net control Frank, K6FLD. Tonight’s topics included:
- Will hanging string of 12V LED lights with shielded wire from a Hex Beam antenna cause interference? Why you ask? Because it would look cool and keep the neighbors guessing!
- Larsen dual-band antenna.
- Looking to construct 12V battery system to power a mobile shack (trailer) using an inverter, battery, etc.
- Biometric utility safe that runs on 9V battery and fingerprint draining battery within 2 weeks at which time the safe has to be opened with a key. Possible solution: 6 AA alkaline battery case with 9V snap snaked through small hole in safe or housed within the case.
