Contesting SIG

Basic Information

The SBARC Contesting Special Interest Group was informally started after Field Day 2000 with plans to participate in the ARRL September VHF QSO Party. If you are interested in participating in this SIG, please contact the acting chairman, George Richardson.

Projected Activities:

  1. Participate in ARRL and other On-The-Air Contest activities using the K6TZ call sign.
  2. Create inter-club sponsored contest events.
  3. Hold classes and social events to promote Contesting and help develop operating skills
  4. Maintain a calendar of contest events and keep all those interested informed. We are even talking about a net on TZ similar to the ATV SIG on Tuesday.
