We had another informative net tonight with 7 check-ins plus net control, Brian – K6BPM and some chat room visitors! Tonight’s subjects included:
- Is the 2 meter repeater up out on Santa Cruz Island? (146.655). Hint: Yes.
- What does 131.8 PL on the input and 141.3 PL on the output of the Santa Cruz repeater.
- 3D printing and www.thingiverse.com.
- Navigating roundabouts in Santa Barbara and avoiding road-rage incidents.
- Possible presentation of CAD related programs and how they’re used in 3D printing projects at our club meeting?
Tune in to the SBARC TM&E Net every Thursday at 8:00 PM local (2000 Hrs) and see what interesting questions will arise or ask some of your own! All club members and visitors are encouraged to check in to the net each week and join in with questions and /or answers and contribute the knowledge of new and seasoned amateur radio operators alike.
SBARC now has numerous members with DMR radios, but many have not yet quite gotten the hang of how DMR works and have not yet been able to enjoy the full capabilities of the DMR network. I have been asked several times recently about the possibility of having DMR be the topic of a club meeting, so I thought this month might be a good time to have one. Now that a lot of members have radios and have had at least some exposure to DMR, I think another meeting to go over the numerous capabilities of DMR might help clear things up for a lot of people, and get a few more people interested in jumping on board.
