ARES

Roy Phillips, AD6PO, put together an antenna he uses on the phone bands from 75 to 10 Meters and it mounts on a small bracket on the rain gutter of his car. It consists of a coil assembly and a metal radiator. The coil assembly has a series of windings that you tap for the different frequencies. The radiator is an aluminum angle four feet long that fits in the trunk. It has a telescoping element that can be adjusted upward for a total length of 6-1/2 feet By selecting the tuning taps and the matching taps and the length of the antenna, you can get all the power to hit the air waves. Roy has had very good results by parking in selected spots and away from the power lines and other city noises..
