ARRL Division Director’s WelcomeWelcome to the 2004 USA Amateur Radio Direction Finding (ARDF) ChampionshipsWebsite. Volunteers from the Santa Barbara Amateur Radio Club are pleased to host this premier event of Radiosport. Your ARRL is proud to be affiliated with this competition. One of the hallmarks of Amateur Radio is that of friendly competition among true enthusiasts. You won't find a better environment to test and improve your orienteering skills. Nowhere else will you find such a breadth of support from the experts and pioneers in North American ARDF. The competitive events are open to anyone at any foxhunting skill level, with or without a ham radio license. There will be two challenging 5-fox courses, one on two meters and the other on 80 meters. Under the leadership of Chairman Marvin Johnston, KE6HTS, you can expect an exciting competition on some of the most interesting courses Southern California has to offer. Thank you for participating and have a great time! 73, Art Goddard W6XD
